Orientation Course-Singapore
Singapore 1 Comment »We are learning so much! Working with multi-cultural teams, language learning tools, missionary kids issues, how to live healthy in Asia, and coping with stress have been some of the classes that we have attended.
The most inspiring and encouraging is hearing everyone’s “stories” on how they have arrived to this place in their life. One OMF director shared about when he was a missionary kid in Zimbabwe. Or one fellow Orientation Course attendee from Taiwan shared about her training on animal husbandry, or a couple from South Africa and Mauritius who served on the ministry ship the “Doulos” and got married etc, etc!
Micah & Jordan are enjoying their friends from Hong Kong, Germany, & the UK. They are doing group crafts, learning about Indian spices, and botany. In “Kid Zone” they have gone to the Botanical Gardens, the Singapore National Library, and swimming. One fun thing they did was go to the grocery store and buy all the different fruits(i.e. dragon fruit, star fruit, mangosteen,) Then they sampled them all. Did you know that there is a dark pink dragon fruit and a white dragon fruit?
Anyway,we are making friends and connecting with our fellow missionaries. Here are a few picts to share:
Bartley Church(Singapore) -Very outreach minded and on fire.
