Cambodia- here at last
Cambodia 1 Comment »We have been in Cambodia for thirteen days now. Our first impressions :from Micah and Jordan “it is cleaner than I thought it would be”(I guess we painted a bleak picture for them.) from Casey “the people are warm, hospitable , friendly ,and genuine.”
The first ten days were spent at the OMF team center. It is a three story building with ten guest rooms ,offices ,language learning center and a large dining and meeting rooms. We chatted with many of our teammates ,some from upcountry, coming to Phnom Penh to take care of ministry or business issues.
As soon as we arrived we have been on a fast track setting up a household, getting the kids started in school and beginning language learning.
We moved into our house on August 12th.We are very fortunate that this house is only about 200-300 yards from the OMF team center. It is three bedrooms , office , dining room, family room and a small kitchen. There is an second floor, large, upper outside veranda deck with two other rooms. Our landlord and his family live right behind . They are very friendly and social. Outside our rear door is their front courtyard. In fact Casey, Micah, and Jordan are chatting with them at this moment. I even watched a bit of the Olympics with them. They have 5 dogs with two puppies ,and the girls love playing them. They also have two outside fish ponds.

The school consists of about 50% Cambodians and about 40% Koreans. Micah has
three other Americans in her class.
