Easter is not celebrated by the majority of Cambodians, though we were able to celebrate with Cambodian Christians. The Khmer church we attend ,”Shalom church of Phnom Penh”  is linked with about ten other Shalom churches in  other provinces of Cambodia.  Four of these churches combined together  to remember and  celebrate Easter.  This was a special  event , as even though  the Christians  in Cambodia  don’t typically celebrate Easter. They do have many Christmas services and outreaches, but Easter is not the same. So  getting  over two hundred Khmer together was quite unique.

The service was conducted in both Khmer and English for the the foreigners. It was held at our kids school, Logos International School. The songs were sung in both Khmer and English at the same time.Darren Beck from Action Cambodia shared a encouraging message on the results of Jesus’ resurrection. Plenty of food  was eaten and many games were played after  the service .
